Responsibilities or Priority Tasks

• The candidate should develop, update, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and applications that require daily/weekly/monthly attention.


• Should support Audit and Accounting team on support tickets that arise and technical issues


• Continuous evaluation of current applications and processes, looking for ways to improve.


• Should help support the onboarding team with the management and organization of new data sets.


• Must have an ability to identify data sets needed from new platforms and create a process to merge into Summit CPA’s existing data structure for clients


• Work to standardize processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of reporting.


• Should independently execute research analyses based on broadly defined criteria.


• Must be eager to learn additional technologies as required

Required Skills and Experience

• The candidate should have a degree in computer science, business analytics, finance, or a related discipline.


• Must have 1 to 3 plus years of work experience in a financial or accounting industry setting preferred


• Must be comfortable and familiar with relational databases, large data sets, query tools, and reporting


• Must have superior critical thinking skills and analytic abilities to interpret complex data using Microsoft Excel and SQL


• Must have excellent listening and communication skills


• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess good analytical skills


• Should have high standards of accuracy


• Must be able to handle multiple initiatives/assignments and operate in a fast-paced environment


• VBA, Excel - mandatory


• Python, SQL – preferred


• JavaScript, R, RPA - plus
