About the Position

They are looking for a DBA/Lead Database Engineer to help them ensure their professional network's high availability and quality.

You will be the first dedicated DBA/Database Engineer hire. Your position will be to establish the best practices for the company, implement them, and (over time) build the database team.

How you will add value at Contra

Design enterprise-scale database schemas.

Ensure the database runs smoothly and securely.

Craft readable, performant, and scalable SQL queries.

Transform business requirements into relational database structures.

Collaborate with the rest of the team within planning, code reviews, and regular communication.

Mentor peers in database use.

Plan for system expansion and suggest improvements.

Identify and troubleshoot problems with data quality.
